Meet the Walruss

Have fun with the Big but Friendly Walrus!

Due to facility maintenance, "Meet the Walrus" will be suspended from 2 January 2024 until further notice.

They may be big, but pacific walruses are actually friendly and easy-going! You can not only meet our superstar walrus, but get a chance to touch its round body and even feed it a delicious meal, as well as hear fun stories about how our animal caretakers take care of it.

^* The programme fee does not include Park's admission, all participants must enter the Park on the programme date with a valid admission ticket.

Cantonese, supplemented by simple English and Putonghua.

Smart Tips:

• The temperature of the exhibit is around 17-20°C. Participants can bring a jacket if needed.
• Participants might need to crouch down for part of activities
• All forms of photography or videography and the use of mobile devices are not permitted during the programme. No photo-taking service will be provided by Park photographer in the "Meet the Walrus" programme.
• It takes around 30 minutes to reach the gathering location from the main entrance of Ocean Park by taking Ocean Express. Please reserve extra time for queuing if you want to take the cable car. With the tight schedule of our programme, latecomers will be regarded as absentees and might not be admitted to the programme. 

Note:

• Participants must be aged 3 or above.
• All participants must be paid. Same price for both adult and child. No accompanying guest is allowed (include children who are under age of 3).
• Eligible participants aged 3-11 must be accompanied by a paying parent/ guardian who satisfies all programme requirements. An eligible paying parent/ guardian can accompany a maximum of TWO eligible paying participants aged 3-11.
• Eligible participants aged under 18 must have their parent/guardian's signature on the Health Declaration form & liability release to confirm the detail before the programme starts.
• This programme is not recommended for any pregnant women.
• All applications will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
• A valid admission ticket to the Park is required to join the programme. The price of the admission ticket is not included in the programme fee. 
• The content, itinerary, dates and application methods of the programmes may subject to change or cancellation due to occasional animal needs or any other particular circumstances without prior notice.
